Ak-bar Mohammad Oliver

Ak-Bar Mohammad Oliver born November 09, 1977 in Trenton NJ passed away at home on February 10, 2021.

During his 5th & 6 grade year at Grant Elementary School Ak-Bar won regional spelling bee champion for the state of NJ. Making his way to the national championship In Washington, DC both years. Ak-bar was a part of the graduating class of 1995 from Trenton Central High School. He then briefly attended Virginia State College in Alexandria, VA majoring in Robotics Engineering. Ak-Bar was employed by Ewing Medical Associates for 2 decades. He also spent 10 years employed by ETS in Ewing NJ.

Ak-Bar was predeceased by his father Terry Battle; Maternal grandparents Bertha Mae (Sassy) & Randolph Oliver; Paternal Grandfather Douglass Battle.

Ak-Bar leaves his wife La Toya McRae-Oliver to carry his memory; His one and only mother Anya Oliver Battle along with his second mother Sandra Ferguson; Paternal Grandmother Betty Simple; Akbar leaves a piece of him on this earth in his 9 children Daquan Rivera Oliver, Jevon Bethea, Sherae, Yahseer, Sanlyah, Shylo & Ahkeer Oliver, NyAshia & NyAare McRae; 2 Grandsons Daquan Jr & Kuyler Rivera; 5 brothers & sisters Latifah Oliver & Nafeesah ( Stew) Battle of Burlington, NJ, Bilal (Nay) Oliver & Mustafa (Bridgette) Battle all of Trenton NJ. Sultan & Mandida Battle of Columbia SC; Along with four brothers from his other mother, Mark Oliver, John Woods, Douglass Battle & Jamie Livingston; Ak-Bar also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends to mourn his passing; As we all know Ak-Bar has touched many lives yet wanted to thank Sara Applegate, Darwin McKithen, Denise & Nicole Battle, Michelle Baldwin, and Kimberly Lopez for impacting his life and always remaining true friends.
