Alfonza Harrell

Alfonza "Pete" Harrell transition into his next life on February 13, 2025. He was surrounded by the comfort of caregivers and the presents of his family. He was born on January 7,1948 in Suffolk, VA to the late Thomas Harrell and Etta Wilson.

Alfonza Harrell affectionally known as "Pete''was educated in the Hampton County School System. He married Edna Harrell and relocated to Trenton, NJ. He was employed by Princeton University in the Maintenance Department where he worked for 30 years.Pete enjoyed watching cowboy movies and sports, his favorite sport to watch was wrestling and Football. Pete was the Jjfe of the party; he loved family gatherings and loved his children with all his heart. Pete was very generous to everyone who crossed his path, and his affectionate favorite phase was "Let me hold something".

In addition to his late parents, Pete was preceded in death by his three sisters, Emma Flight, Elsa Read, and Betsy Harris; and his only brother, 'Thomas Harrell, Jr.Pete leaves to mourn his children, Alphonzo Harrell (Romine), Timothy Harrell, Shanise Brantley, Unika Brnntley, 1homas Walker, and Rodney Walker; 28 grandchHdren and 12 great grandchildren; his sister, Ann Harrell; and a host nieces, nephews, and very special friends.

Funeral service will 11am Monday, February 24, 2025 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 10am until the time of service. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ.
