Alva Kellyman, Jr

Alva Norman Kellyman, affectionately known as "Junior", passed away on Sunday, the 16th of February at Robert Wood Johnson's Serenity Hospice care located in Hamilton, New Jersey.

He was raised in St. Thomas, Jamaica alongside his siblings where he attended Morant Bay Primary School. Alva, born July 24, 1955, spent his life filled with adventure and love alongside his family and friends.

He moved to America with his siblings, mother, and a few other family members in the 80's and made the best of his life thereafter. He was employed at R&S Strauss Automotive, once located on S. Broad Street in Trenton, for a majority of his working years before retiring.

Alva is predeceased by his brother Pete Kellyman; parents, Veronica Brissett, and Alva Kellyman Sr.; uncle, Linton Kellyman.

He is survived by his siblings Donald G. Kellyman, Elaine Kellyman, Arthur S. Kellyman; his daughter Natasha Kellyma,n and her mother Dawn Kellyman; his nieces and nephews, Marvin, Daevar,  Aaron, Christopher, Alvin, Kevin, Kristina, Jody, Jodi-an;  a host of cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral service will be 11am Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hours will be 9am until the time of service. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ.
