Anna Allen

AnnaMae Ruby Allen daughter of the late Robert and Maggie Allen, was born on April 20, 1937 in Columbia South Carolina. She departed this life on November 28, 2022, at Capital Health System at Helen Fuld, Trenton NJ.

A longtime resident of Trenton, New Jersey. Anna was employed at the Capital Health System at Fuld for many years before retiring. After retiring, she took up employment as a Bus Aide for Rick Bus Company for several years.

In her spare time, she enjoyed walking and taking trips to the mall. Anna was a dedicated member of Grant Chapel AME Church. Where she served as a member for many years.

She valued family and friends, and they were blessed by her warm spirit and loving personality. AnnaMae was loved by everyone who knew her. She would visit family and friends in the hospital and nursing homes. No matter how far, she would take two buses if needed. To know her was to love her.

Predeceased by her parents Robert and Maggie Allen and daughter Wendy Francois, sisters Carrie Allen, Roberta Harrell, Lovella M. Brown, and Brothers Leroy Allen, Leon Allen, and Robert Allen, Jr. Grandson Sylvester Allen, and Daughter in law Sharon Allen.

AnnaMae leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Raymond Allen, Sheila Robert (Tyrone), Cheryl Umeh, Jefferey Grice, Margaret Merrick (Vincent), Norman Allen, John Hendryx (Carol), Lester Allen and Robert Allen. Three sisters, Sarah Saeed, Geraldine Allen, and Hattie Allen, and one brother Stanley Allen, 35 Grandchildren and 57 Great-grandchildren, Host of great-great grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral service will be 12pm Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Grant Chapel AME Church, 261 Mercer St., Trenton, NJ 08611. Calling hour will be 11am until the time of service. Interment will be at Colonial Memorial Park, Hamilton, NJ.
