With much love spread and many memories shared, our beloved Anthony accepted his angel's invitation into the kingdom on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at Capital Health in Hopewell, New Jersey. As a result, our hearts are less bright but we know the heavens are filled with extra doses of love, joy, peace and laughter.
Anthony R. Williams Sr. was born on Tuesday, July 10, 1945 in Farmville, North Carolina to Annie Ruth Williams.
He was educated in the Farmville public school system. Anthony was employed as a professional Truck Driver for Helene Fuld Hospital and Bass Trucking Company.
Anthony loved his family and friends. He loved to laugh and tell jokes. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Anthony attended Beauty Grove Primitive Baptist Church under the leadership of Elder Clemson Leach. He was also a member of the Most Worshipful Union Grand Lodge United Supreme Council.
He was predeceased by his mother Annie Ruth Williams; his sister Brenda JoyceMay; two brothers William E. May and Doug Allen.
Anthony's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by his four daughters Kimberly Pettiford (Victor) of Voorhees, NJ, Antoinette Williams of Greensboro, NC, Teresa Bowden (Michael) of Jackson Springs, NC and Lela Graham of Greensboro, NC; a son Anthony R. Williams (Donna); his two brothers Robert Williams (Dorothy) and Donald May; special friends Claudia littles-Hearn, Mother Alice Leach and family; thirteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 12pm Monday, June 15, 2026 at Beauty Grove Primitive Baptist Church, 66 Race St., Trenton, NJ 08638.  Calling hour will be 11am until the time of service at the church. Interment will be Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ.
