Arthur Jones

Arthur Glenn Jones age 64, affectionately known as Baybro, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, June 14, 2020.

Arthur was born on December 2, 1955, in Trenton, NJ to William E. Jones and the late Bessie M. Jones. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Frank E. Jones, his grandparents Albert and Mary L. Carter, his mother-in-law Isadora Carty, and sister-in-law Sandra Carty.

He was educated in the Trenton Public School System. He graduated from Trenton High in 1974, and then continued his education at Mercer Community College.

Arthur was himself a “jack-of-all-trades", he had many talents. He was a painter, a cook for 10 years, and a handyman.

He was a member of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, where he sang mellifluously in the male choir.

Arthur is survived by his devoted loving wife of 33 years, Barbara Jones, his adoring children Tracey Hawk of Jacksonville, FL and Tia Shaw of Trenton, NJ, his grandchildren Zania Barnwell of Atlanta, GA, Damarjhay Hawk of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Zakyra Shaw, Tamia Cloyd and Kymani Shaw of Trenton, NJ, his siblings William A. Jones (Diandrea) of Hamilton, NJ, James A. Jones of Huntsville, AL, Marion Allen (James) of Washington, DC, Debra Jones-Stevenson, Regina White-Kirk (Aaron), Kathy J. Jones (Alphonso) of Trenton, NJ, his sister-in-law Annette Clark of Trinidad, his aunts Betty White (late Josephus) and Rose White (late Robert) of Trenton, NJ and a host of cousins, nieces and friends. All services are private. Funeral arrangements are by Hughes Funeral Home.

Due to the COVID-19 federal restrictions on public gathering, all funeral services are private. The Jones family has made programs available for all family and friends, you are invited to stop by to obtain a program prior to the time of service. For those unable to attend, the service may be viewed via Facebook Monday June 29, 2020 at 1pm.
