Audrey Benay Williams was called home on Sunday, February 21, 2021
She departed this life at Princeton Medical Center and is now in the everlasting embrace of the Lord.
Audrey was born to Vanaudry and George Williams on January 4,1960 in Hightstown, NJ. They later moved to Trenton, New Jersey and that is where she remained.
"Benay" was a graduate of St. Anthony's School and Princeton High School. Later, in life, she had her children Natasha A. Williams and Nicole D. Williams and raised them until about the age of 12. She went on to further her education, and she earned her associate degree in Applied Science from Mercer County Community College. She received her bachelor’s degree from Rider University. Finally, her big gest educational accomplishment was earning her Master of Administrative Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University, all while work ing a full-time job for the State of New Jersey and being a devoted mother of twin girls.
Audrey Benay Willian s worked for the Department of Environmental Protection for 40 years before retiring in January 2020.
Audrey had a strong faith in the Lord and always taught her daughters the same. Her home church became Union Baptist Church.
Audrey Benay Williams loved landscaping and decorating. She collected beautiful pieces of china and crystals.
Audrey was preceded in death by her father George "Willie" Williams; her mother Vanaudry Williams.
Audrey's n1emory will be cherished and forever remembered by her twin girls Natasha A. Williams and Nicole D. Williams; a brother George Anthony Williams; her beloved aunt Annie L. Graves and family; her uncle Irving Austell (Mildred); a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Services will be 9-11am Monday, March 1, 2021 at the Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.
