Aunia Gurley

Aunia Latrace Gurley was born on November 16, 1967, at Mercer Hospital in Trenton, NJ to Allan and Fern Gurley. She was the oldest of five children. Aunia attended Trenton Public schools and was a manager at Little Caesars and a food service worker at various jobs in the city. She loved music, dancing and enjoyed scary movies. Her favorite colors were purple and black.

God’s angels came and claimed Aunia on Friday, November 25, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her grandmothers Queen Ester Gurley and Winnie Montgomery, and an Uncle; Weldon Jones.

Aunia is survived by her fiancé Jesse McCray; parents Allan and Fern Gurley; daughters Brya Gurley, Ureena Gurley (Jajuan Worley) and Tasha Walker; sons Bryan Jones and Barry Gurley; sister Tashana Heath; brothers Alan Heath (Michelle Gerald), Tyree Heath (Cathy), Charone Heath and Maurice Carter; grandchildren Na’Zyaah Gurley, Naveah Miner, Masir Gurley, NaQuaya Gurley, Rakia Gurley, Jahliyah Council, Quayshawn Walker, Makai Heath, and Ramir Gerald; uncles Ray Montgomery (Sylvia); Henry Page (Maxine); aunt Betty Hamilton; Godmother Vanessa Banks, special friend Yolanda Beckett; several beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

Funeral service will be 12pm Saturday, Deceember 10, 2022 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 11am until the time of service. Interment will be private.
