Barbara Williams Obituary

When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure. 

Barbara D. Williams was born to Jennie L. Williams on May 16, 1961 and reared in the christian home of Mrs. Cora Lee and Mr. Oscar Williams. Barbara was educated in the Trenton public school district and received her high school diploma. She also attended Job Corp and received a certificate in welding. She went to school at Our Lady of Divine Shepherd, Junior 5 and Trenton High. Barbara retired from Princeton Medical Center as a sterile surgical technician where she also obtained her college degree. 

Barbara was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 11th, 2022 at Pre­ferred Care Nursing and Rehabilitation of Mercer. Barbara was a member of Mt. Zion AME Church. She loved the Lord. Her favorite gospel songs were "Never Would've Made It" by Marvin Sapp and "I Shall Wear the Crown" by Yolanda DeBerry. She also favored "Walking Around Heaven" by Patti LaBelle. She loved her family and you couldn't say anything about them. Barbara loved to cook and bake, especially during the holiday season. 

Barbara was preceded in death by her mother Jennie L. Williams; a son Fuji Williams; a brother Oscar "Big 0" Williams; a sister/bff Kathy Armstrong; an aunt Aggie Nora; uncles Fred Williams, Glemmer McLeod, Moses and Gary Williams; two nephews Jerel Williams and Corey White. She leaves to cherish warm loving memories to her one and only brother Glemmer Williams; a special sissy Francine White; her nieces Nicole White, Briana Williams and Daisha Williams "Pistol Pack"N Pete"; nephews Clarence and Marquis Williams; her godson Isaiah Armstrong; a special cousin Karen Dorsey; her special friend Rufus Taylor; cousins Alice Butler Ravenel, Victoria Butler and Lesia Chi­solm all of WadmaIaw, South Carolina; a host of other great nieces, great nephew, cous­ins and friends. 

 

Funeral service will be 10am Monday, January 24, 2022 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 9am until the time of service. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.
