Beatrice E. Jamison. 92 of Trenton, NJ passed away May 15, 2025 at Serenity Hospice of Robert Wood Johnson Hospital. She was born on July 15. 1933 in Norway, South Carolina to the late Leona Izlar and Lang Funchess, Mrs. Jamison grew up in South Carolina where she attended school and was her high school secretary. She enjoyed playing basketball. She met her husband. The late John Jamison, Jr. and would be married for 66 years until his passing. They were blessed with one child.
Mrs. Jamison moved to Washington D.C. in 1948 and joined New Samaritan Baptist Church. In 1953, she moved to Trenton, NJ and worked for Helen Fuild Hospital as a medical aid. Later, Mrs. Jamison worked for North Princeton Development Center of the date of New Jersey (Skillman) until she retired in 1998. Mrs. Jamison was a member of Wayne Avenue Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Nathaniel Benjamin where she served on the Senior Choir and Deaconess board until her husband fell ill.
Beatrice was a kind, forgiving and loving women who enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends, going on trips and to the beach, singing spirituals cooking and enjoying life.
Beatrice is deceased by her husband, John Jamison, Jr., her daughter. Brenda Kay Jamison Tucker: her four brothers Joshua, June (Lang). Charles and Clifton: her two Sisters Cleola and Carolyn; and her beloved nephew Marvin Quinichett and Stanley Funchess and niece Mary Carolyn St. Clair.
Beatrice leaves to cherish her memories, her loving two granddaughters Annie Tift (Terrence) and Charlene Jamison her two god-sons Terrence Tift, Jr. and Tyrell Statton. Her nephew Lang Funchess, Ill: Charles Funchess. Jr. and Martin Funchess, nieces Jaqueline O'Neal, Carol Funchess, Andrea Funchess and Lori Ann Funchess; a sister-in-law Travis Perry and a host of great grands, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and other loving relatives. A beloved cousin Anne Funchess, care givers, Jaqua Tift, Annie Tift and Charlene Jamison, Close best friend. Hattie Mae McCall, Marita Hoy and Tina Justine Tartue.
Funeral service will be 11am Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hours will be 9am until the time of service. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.
