Bentley D. Campbell, 60, of Trenton, New Jersey was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
Bentley was born on January 14, 1961, in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Joyce A. Campbell and Lee A. Campbell. He relocated to New York in 1962 where he spent his youth and later moved to Trenton in 1973 where he graduated from Trenton Central High School (Class of 1979).
Bentley was previously employed as a Forklift Driver for Bucks County Container from 1979-1987; Remote Train Operator of US Steel from 1988-1992; and as a Construction Laborer and member of Laborers International Union of North America (LiUNA) Local 369. He served as Sargent at Arms for a term and Vice President for a term. He later retired through Local 595 in 2013.
Bentley always enjoyed helping others. As a devoted father and husband, family was the most important part of his life. He enjoyed bike riding, outdoor grilling, and was a car enthusiast. To know him was to love him.
Bentley was predeceased by his parents, Joyce A. Campbell and Lee A. Campbell.
Left to cherish his precious memories: his beloved and devoted wife, Rose M. Campbell; three daughters, Shaena Campbell, Shannon Campbell, and Charlene Campbell; two brothers, Reginald Campbell and Lee Campbell; three grandchildren, Shyla, Sanai, and Sasha; and a host of loved relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 4pm Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 3pm until the time of service. Interment will be 10am Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.
