Bernard Stallings

On Thursday, September 10, 2020, Bernard "Sly" Stallings, loving husband, father of four children and PopPop of five grandchildren entered into eternal rest at age 57. 

Bernard was born on July 24, 1963 in Jamaica, NY to Lewis D. and Mary Stallings. Bernard loved his entire family but his "momma" meant the world to him. As her first born child, their bond was sealed from his birth. 

Bernard received extensive training in Information Technology. Bernard had several jobs throughout his career but he held a special place in his heart for TIAA-CREF and his current job at Burlington Safety Labs. 

Bernard was baptized and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Tren­ton, New Jersey. 

On August 25, 2001, he married Kimberly "Diane" Preston. This union was the epitome of black love and death was the only thing that seperated this bond. Bernard loved his four children beyond measure. While he was Pop to Bernard Jamil Stallings, Jared Jones, LaTesha Stevens and Shakiera Stevens he took extreme joy in being PopPop to Daniel Lewis, Jace Stall­ings, Jaden Jones, Ja'Leigh Walston and Jason Walston Jr.. 

Bernard was an avid sports fan. He loved the Dallas <::o;Wboys, the New York Knicks and the New York Yankees. Bernard loved traveling with his wife and their second home was St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands. 

Bernard leaves to cherish his memory his wife Kimberly Stallings, his four children, Jamil (Nayanda),Jared (Amy), Latesha and Shakiera, his parents Lewis and Mary Stallings, his grandchildren Daniel, Jace, Jaden, Ja'Leigh and Jason, his brother Kevin(Wendy), his sisters Karen and Teisha and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

Bernard Stallings age 57 of Delran, NJ passed away September 10, 2020.  Services will be 1–3pm Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at the Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave, Trenton, NJ, 08618. Interment will be Private
