Brenda Tabon

Brenda Louvon Tabon daughter of Benjamin and Earline Edwards departed this life on April 23, 2021 at Helene Fuld Medical Center, in Trenton NJ. 

 

She attended elementary school in Marietta, NC and moved with her father to Tren­ton, NJ where continued her childhood education. 

 

She moved to Bronx, NY where she met and married Clyde Junior Tabon; to this union one child was born. 

 

She worked at Reuben H Donnelley Marketing and Listfax Computer service in NY before returning to Trenton NJ, where she worked as a Judiciary Clerk for the state of NJ until retirement in August of 2014 after 28 years. 

 

As a PT A parent at Joseph Stokes Elementary, Arthur J Holland Middle School and TCHS, she received many certificates and awards for her services. 

 

She confessed Christ and joined New Salem Baptist Church in Trenton, NJ under the pastoralship of Rev, James L. Goolsby. While there she served as Co-chair of the first annual unity day, chaired and Co-chaired the church anniversary, served as Secre­tary and Treasurer of the Sr. Usher Board as well as Jr. Usher Advisor. 

 

Preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Junior Tabon, grandparents Caniza and Jessie Edwards, with whom she was raised, father Benjamin and mother Earline Ed­wards, sisters Martha Raye Cullum, Glen Dell Edwards, and Iris Faye Roberts, 

 

She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter Melissa R McCants of Mt Laurel, NJ; one son Gardner C. Tabon and his wife Regina of Austin Texas, one grandson Vondre J. McCants (Bombay) and one granddaughter Sinai A. McCants (Ladybug) one great grandson Ishmael McCants (Butterbean) one great granddaughter Catalina Mc­

Cants (Sweetpea) of Trenton, NJ. Five brothers, Linwood Edwards of Bridgeton NJ, Lorenzo Edwards of Levittown PA, Nathaniel, Jeffrey, and Staffon Edwards and wife Katie, of Fairmount NC, two sisters Alexsondria Green and husband Fred of NC, and Veronica Pendergrass also of NC, two God children, Archie Lawrence and Adella Carter; sister-in-law Geneva Tabon, (Theodore-deceased) of Bronx NY; several nieces, nephews. cousins, aunts, uncles, and a host of other relatives and friends.
