Brian Edward McLaine was born on June 23, 1975 in Trenton, New Jersey. Son of the late Jaci McLaine, he is survived by his father, Steven S. McLaine Sr. of Hamilton, NJ; a son, Dayquan McLaine of Trenton, NJ; a daughter, Briana McLaine of Sicklerville, NJ; a brother, Steven McLaine Jr. of Ashburn, Virginia; three aunts, Patricia Lucas of Hamilton, NJ, Suzanne Collins of Hamilton, NJ, and Liz Collins of Burtonsville, Maryland; three cousins, Jill Davidson of Hamilton, Dr. Angie Collins of Atlanta, Georgia, and Sebastian Lee of Burtonsville, MD; and a host of other loving family members and friends, which include special friends
Mark Cansler, Roger Davidson, Darwin McKithen, Tyrone McKithen, Jermaine Parker, Les Summiel, Rob Sumners, and Cynthia Valentin.
Brian resided in the Trenton area for over 45 years. He was educated in the Ewing school system, and participated in youth basketball, baseball, and soccer leagues. Brian also engaged in a host of activities at Central Church as a member of Awana and other groups. He graduated from Ewing High School in 1993, where he excelled at varsity basketball. Brian spent many years working for the State of New Jersey and as a warehouse supervisor for B&H Photo. Favorite family memories include him arriving “fashionably late” for every gathering and his longtime fandom of all Philadelphia sports teams, with the Eagles holding a special place in his heart.
Brian will be fondly remembered for his smile, his easygoing nature, his passion for music, and his loving, gentle soul. He was devoted to his loved ones, especially his children, and would do anything for them. Brian was fiercely loyal and supportive to his friends and family, and impacted each life he touched. He is deeply loved and will be dearly missed. Brian was raised in the Spirit by his parents and is now resting in power with his beloved mother.
Funeral service will be 11am Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Central Church, 2015 Pennington Rd., Ewing Township, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be at 10am until the time of service at the church. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.
