With much love spread and many memories shared, our beloved Burton accepted his angel's invitation into the kingdom on Thursday, May 5, 2022 in Trenton, New Jersey. As a result, our hearts are less bright but we know the heavens are filled with extra doses of love, joy, peace and laughter.
Burton F. Alford Jr., born May 4, 1971 in Trenton, New Jersey to Louise Alford and Burton K. Alford Sr.
Burton was educated in the Trenton public school system and he was a graduate of Trenton Central High School class of1989. He entered the military, where he served in the United States Navy. He was employed by Mercer Hospital Capital Health for more than 15 years.
In his leisure time, he enjoyed listening to music. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan.
He was preceded in death by his mother Louise Alford.
Burton's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by his wife Margaret Alford; his father Burton F. Alford Sr.; his brothers Alexander (Nicole) Alford and Byron (Racheal) Alford; four stepchildren Tammie Green, Yramine Victor, Michael Victor and Kelly Victor; a host of a niece, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
When you come to the end of the road
and the sun has set on me,
I want no rites in a gloom filled room,
why cry for a soul set free.
Miss me a little-but not too long,
and not with your head bowed low,
Remember the love that we once shared,

For this is a journey that we all must take,
and each must go alone.
It's all a part of the Master's plan,
a step on the road to home.

Funeral service will be 1pm Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 12pm until the time of service. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ.
