Carrie Flamer Loizeau Obituary

Carrie Bell Flamer Loizeau passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020 at home. Born in Cassatt, SC, she was a long time resident of Lawrence Township, NJ. She graduated from Trenton High School in 1961 and subsequently completed the Licensed Practical Nursing Program at Mercer County Vocational School. As a result, she was a nurse at many of the local medical centers.

She retired from the New Jersey Juvenile Justice Commission and held nursing positions at St. Francis Hospital, Princeton Hospital, Helene Fuld Hospital and Planned Parenthood Association of the Mercer Area.

Carrie was predeceased by her mother and father, Bessie and Herbert Flamer. She is survived by her son, Raymond Worrell, her brother Herbert Flamer (Mary), and niece, Ginneh Flamer (Rocco Rainone). She is survived by a host of relatives who live predominantly in Mercer County and South Carolina. Her friendships were numerous.

Carrie’s friendly and jovial disposition suited her career as a nurse. She was known for her laughter and ability to easily bring a smile to everyone in her presence.

A private burial ceremony will be held. Carrie particularly enjoyed working with youth. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Planned Parenthood Association of the Mercer Area, 437 East State Street, Trenton, NJ 08608.
