Cassandra Brunson

When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure. 

Cassandra Ann Brunson departed this life October 30, 2021 at Capital in Trenton, New Jersey. 

Cassandra was born March 22, 1964 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Retha Crawford. She attended Trenton public schools. Cassandra later became a Certified Nursing As­sistant and a child care provider. 

She was member of the New Hope Church of God in Christ since childhood. She was a member of the choir. She enjoyed singing and music. Cassandra had a special love for growing plants and flowers. She was friendly and supportive to everyone she knew or came in contact with. She also devoted her time and energy as a caregiver to her many grandchildren. Her charm, smile and sense of humor enlightened any given moment. 

Cassandra is preceded in death by her father, both grandparents, three uncles, two aunts and two sons. As well as a special Uncle Artist Wolfe in whom she cared for. 

She is survived in death by her husband Dexter Brunson; mother Retha Crawford (Herman); children Ebony Johnson (James), Douglas Wolfe, Latonya Hill, Georgia, Cas­sandra, Shiheara Richardson, and LaQuea Diaz (Saul); brother Hiram Crawford; Spe­cial Uncle Elder Edward Wolfe (Clara); 13 Grandchildren, a special granddaughter Precious Smith; one God daughter Cherish Bessant. A host of cousins and friends. One son-in-law William Smith; a close friend Joann Bing McKibbin and children. 

Funeral service will be 11am Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 150 N. Clinton Ave., Trenton NJ 08609. Calling hour will be 10am until the time of service. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ. Arrangements are by Hughes Funeral Home.
