Celia Williams Giddens, 102 years old. She was born in Quitman, Georgia on December 5, 1923. She departed this life on February 7, 2026.
Celia retired from Carrier Clinic after 30 years of service. She was a member of St. Paul for more than 60 years.Celia was the most gentle soul a person could know, she never asked for much but always gave 100% to family and to those who knew her.
Celia was a woman who loved to travel the world.When she was a child working on her family farm, she looked up and saw an airplane, she promised herself she would be on one of them one day.
Celia was predeceased by her parents Bennie and Arnetta Mosley Williams; her sister Katherine Williams; her husband Otis B. Giddens; her daughter Juanita Hayes; her son Otis B. Giddens Jr.; her grandsons Ronald and Otis Donovan Giddens.
Celia’s memory will be cherished and forever remembered by her daughter Naimah F. Salaam; her grandchildren Corsandra Sims and Douglas Williams; her great grandchildren Keith Hayes and Alicia McMullen; three great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 11am Saturday, February 14, 2026 at St. Paul A.M.E. Zion Church, 1130 Lower Ferry Rd., Ewing, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 10am until the time of service at the church. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.
