Charlene M. Ford

Michelle has earned her wings. She answered the call on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 from Trenton, New Jersey and took her final flight home.  As a result, our hearts are less bright but we know the heavens are filled with extra doses of love, joy, peace and laughter. Charlene Michelle Ford, was born November 25, 1954 in Trenton New Jersey to Nadine Killingsworth and Charles Matlock Jr. She remained a lifelong Trenton resident.“Chelle” as she was affectionately named was educated in the Trenton public schools. She was employed as a homemaker.  Mom wasn't a woman of Great-Power or means but she was a beautiful women with a beautiful spirit and heart.  She had a beautiful smile and laugh that would light up the room. Michelle would help her friends and give when she could. My Mom was no Angel, but which one of us here are without sin. She made some missteps in life which drew her away from her family.  However with the Help of God and  Michelle's will power she turned her life around. She made amends with her family and all 5 of her beautiful children. She developed a beautiful relationship with all 13 of her grandchildren and she recently met her new great grandchild. Chelle loved music and would dance when she was able to. She loved cooking and spending time with her family and friends.  Her legacy will be her beautiful smile and love she would show every one she met. It will also be the 5 Beautiful Souls she left here to carry on and her 13 grandchildren and great grandchildren. I want you to know Mom loved each and every one of us in her own special way. So let's celebrate her homegoing she isn't suffering anymore and I Thank God for that.She was  preceded in death by her mother Nadine Killingworth; by her father Charles Matlock Jr.; brother Kevin Ford; grandfather Rev. James Killingworth; grandmother Beulah Killingworth and several siblings. Charlene’s memory will be cherished and forever remembered ; her sons Corri Ford, Terrance Ford, Kyle Ford; two daughters Jemika Ford, and Lashae Williams; along with 13 grandchildren Corri, Kaleeb, Donovan, Andre, Kyle, Taj, Tyler, Kashae, Kaleeb, Kahlia, Kylee, Rhenee, Cameron; two great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins,  other relatives and friends..In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Jemika Ford via cashapp $msford22 or Zelle or PayPal @JemikaF

 Funeral service will be 1pm Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 12pm until the time of service. Interment will be private.
