Charles E. Harper Obituary

A HEART FOR SERVICE AND COMMUNITY

Charles found his true calling in the kitchen, where he shared his love for others through his culinary talents. An experienced Culinary Prep and Kitchen Cook, he dedicated over 25 years of service to St. Francis Medical Center and spent the last eight years bringing his skills to the Holiday Inn Express.

Known as a true "family man," Charles never met a stranger. He had an infectious spirit, always ready to help others or brighten a room with his jokes and laughter. When he wasn't spending time with his loved ones, he was an avid sports enthusiast and a devoted fan of the New York Giants.

A LEGACY OF LOVE

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Louise Harper; his brothers, Napoleon, Preston and William Harper, and Johnny Harper; his sisters, Geneva Sellers, Mayola Brown, and Odessa Harper; and a stepson, John Thomas.

HE LEAVES TO CHERISH HIS MEMORY & CELEBRATE HIS LEGACY:

His wife, Patricia Harper; his daughter, LuTasha Squire Howell; his son-in-law, Carl E. Howell, Jr; granddaughters, Charisma, Liberty, and Patience Howell all of Raleigh, NC; stepsons, Bobby Thomas and Wallace Thomas; stepdaughters, Sheila Davis, Deborah Henderson (Lexie), and Pam Fitzgerald; a host of step grandchildren including Aja' Davis with whom he shared a very special bond and several step great grandchildren; his siblings, Eula Mae Spell of Trenton, NJ, Luzelia McCormick of Brooklyn, NY, and Carolyn Cue of Patrick, SC; two brothers, Corneilus Harper of Trenton, NJ and Ronald Harper (Barbara) of Cheraw, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
