Charlie James Taylor peacefully transitioned from this life at the age of 89 on Sunday, March 29, 2026, in Trenton. NJ. He was the husband of Annie Lois Taylor; they were married for 63 years.
Born in Madison, Georgia, he was the son of Charlie and Gennie Maude Taylor Charlie was educated through the Madison school system and employed by Polysar as a truck driver.
He was a member of St. John's Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon. Charlie enjoyed yardwork, building things, and watching westerns. He will be remebered for his many life teachings and sayings, infectious smile and kind heart. Charlie is most known for saying, "Keep having birthdays " "Be cool," "Gotta keep moving,'' and "| don't get it? 1 still don't get it."

He was predeceased by his wife Annie L. Taylor; bonus-sons Alvin Michael Terrell and Sanders Charles Taylor; Parents: Charlie and Gennie Taylor; Sisters: Lillie Mae Taylor, Lula Mae Moore, and Mildred Louise (Betty) Thomas; and Brothers: Gerald Taylor, JC Jackson, and Wilson Taylor.
Funeral service will be 11am Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at St. John's Baptist Church, 24 Lake St., Jamesburg, NJ 08831. Calling hour will be 10am until the time of service at the church. Interment will be at Franklin Memorial Park Cemetery, North Brunswick Twp., NJ.
