Charmayne Francis, 64, affectionately known as Chunky, obtained her wings in the early morning of Friday, July 9, 2021. She passed away peacefully in her sleep.
The first born of twins, in Trenton, NJ on January 18, 1957, she was a life-long resident of Trenton, NJ and educated in Trenton Public Schools. She was most recently employed as a private Home Health Aid, because she loved to take care of people. But she was best known as the busty, smiling beauty at Sweetwater's Two by Four Bar.
Charmayne had a natural talent and passion for cooking soul food and nothing made her happier than to share her delicious meals with family, friends, neighbors and even strangers. She was known to sing gospel music while cooking and had a beautiful singing voice. Her favorite song was "In the Midst of it All" by Yolanda Adams.
The fondest memories of her was making people laugh, she was very comical and enjoyed having a good time. She treasured every single relative and blessingly was adoring and close with each of her sisters and brothers.
Predeceased by her parents, Wilson Sr. & Alberta Francis; a sister, Laverne Francis; two brothers, Wilson Francis Jr. and Robert Francis; a grandson, Marteise Francis; two nephews, Keith Lopez and Stephan Francis and her life-partner, Arthur E. Midgett.
She is survived by her three loving children, James Francis, Shannon Roberson and Alicia Francis; ten grandsons, Shaquille, Jabree, James Jr., Jaheim, Ryan, Alexander, Christopher, Jermaine, Jayden and Jarian; two granddaughters, Brenda and Ija'; two brothers, Roosevelt Francis Sr.
(Barbara) and twin sibling, Sherman Francis; two sisters, Wilomena Green
(Isaac) and Ernestine Lopez and an abundance of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, whom she cherished. She also had two close-as-family friends, Louise Tyme and childhood friend that she referred to as a sister, Roseline Nance-Caldwell.
Carnations were her favorite flowers and mint green was her favorite color. She kept interest in gardening and was fond of butterflies. She and her twin sibling shared a common love for popsicles. We all will miss her being the life of the party and bringing joy and laughter to our lives. We rejoice in knowing that she loved, accepted and acknowledged the Lord Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.
