Christian D. James

Christian Deon James, affectionally known as “Deon” was born on January 3rd, 1990 in Trenton, NJ.

He grew up in the Trenton/Ewing area.  Christian transitioned from this life Sunday, October 3, 2021 with his loving mother holding his hand, surrounded by the amazing, compassionate healthcare professionals who assisted him in his final weeks of his life.     After graduating Ewing High School, Christian went on to attend Cheyney University on a football scholarship, following his heart and love for the game.  He also  attended Mercer County College and most recently a Trucking School in Las Vegas, NV.

Christian was an extremely brave hearted and adventurous individual who loved to travel and enjoy life.  He captivated hearts wherever he went and would light up a room with his contagious smile and infectious laughter.Christian’s heart was as big as he was in stature. He loved his family and adored his mother.

Christian’s entrepreneurial spirit lead him to be a world traveler collecting many stamps on his passport.  He frequently spoke of returning to Paris.  His heart was so huge he helped many people in all walks of life, he was always a happy person.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roger James whom he affectionately called “Pop Pop”.

He leaves to cherish fond memories his beloved mother, Darlene (Lawrence); his loving brother Roger B. James (Danielle); his adorable nephew Daxson B. James whom he nicknamed DJ; two stepbrothers Lawrence (Kristin) and Mathew Brickhouse; a step sister Victoria  Brickhouse; special Grandmother, Jacklyn Edwards; and a hosts of special aunts and uncles. A special cousin/sister/twin, Brandi L. Johnson (Rae Rae); special cousin Damon Cottman; personal chef Clarence Howell II; right hand man and special cousins, Louis Thomas and Marvin James II; childhood friend Jihad Jenks; special friend Ishamel Bivins; childhood friend Mattay Smith; special friend Kennedi Bivins; goddaughter;  special friend Myrthelle Brioche. Christian’s circle was so large of special cousins and close friends that there isn’t enough room  to list. Last but not least his beloved son, Gotti-pitbull James.

Funeral service will be 12pm Friday, October 08, 2021 at Calvary Pentecostal Church, 471 Parkway Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hours will be 10am until the time of service. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ. Arrangements are by Hughes Funeral Home.
