Clarence Jones, Sr. Obituary

Clarence Jones Sr. was born on Saturday, September 29, 1945 in Cape Charles, Virginia. On Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Capital Health Regional Hospital, Clarence peacefully answered the Master's call from labor to reward and collected his wings and went on to glory. A job well done my good and faithful servant.

Clarence was educated in the Cape Charles public school system. He left school at an early age to take care of his siblings. He was employed as a butcher at Triola Brothers for several years and the Mideast Aluminum also for several years.

In his leisure time, Clarence had a passion for being outdoors fishing. He loved shooting pool with his family and friends, and he was a fan of all sports. He especially enjoyed watching his favorite games on television. Clarence was also a member of Home Services for years. He loved spending quality time with his family, and he adored his grandchildren. He also loved visiting his family in Cape Charles.

He was preceded in death by his mother Sabor Tolliver; his father Milton Jones Sr.; his brother Milton Jones Jr.; his three sisters Francis Jones, Nyoka (Pearlie), Janie (Jake); his two stepbrothers Richard Sewell Jr. and Zeek Sewell.

Clarence's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by his loving and devoted wife Margarine Jones; his children Mary (Ted) Collins of Chester, VA, Clarence (Shonda) Jones Jr. of Sicklerville, NJ, Dwayne Jones of Burlington, NJ and Tabitha Jones of Morrisville, PA; his grandchildren Christopher and Christina Collins, Sanyei Jones, Christian Jones-Spady and Aniyah Jones; his siblings Garnell Jones, Tony Jones, Marvin (Phyllis) Jones, Patricia Ames and Seline Savage (Joe); his mother-in-law Betty Lee Dulaney; a sister-in-law Loretta (Vincent) Carannante; i brother-in-law Jerry Dulaney; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other:relatives and friends.

 

Funeral service will be 11am Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hours will be 9am until the time of service. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.
