Clement Kidd

Clement Kidd, affectionately known as "Pete," passed away on March 7, 2026, at the age of 71. He was born on January 9, 1955, in Trenton, New Jersey, to the late Clarence Kidd & Rosetta Dunn.

Pete was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He was known for his curious spirit and energetic nature-truly a busybody who was always seeking to learn more about the world around him. He never stayed in one place for too long, as he always felt there was something to do, someone to meet, or somewhere new to explore. To know Pete was to love him.

A dedicated handyman, Pete took great pride in his work and was happiest when he was on the job, building, fixing, or creating something with his hands. He had a deep love for traveling and enjoyed meeting new people wherever he went. His personality left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered, and he was adored by many, each with their own cherished story to tell about him.

Pete was preceded in death by his siblings, Henry Kidd, Shelia Kidd and Clarence Kidd Jr; his loving daughter Shonte Ellis; her son Naquan Ellis; and Unique Anderson; a son of his surviving daughter.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Sharell Anderson; and a legacy of grandchildren Assante and Shamon (Ellis); James Anderson; Keith and Alexus (Hamilton); Hasn and Ahmed (Nafai); as well as eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a close cousin, Carol Kidd who he leaves to cherish. He also leaves behind two special friends, Mary Ellis and Eunice Anderson the mothers of his daughters, who shared important chapters of his life.

Pete's life was full of movement, connection, and unforgettable moments. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Funeral service will be 11am Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 10am until the time of service. Interment will be private.
