Crystal C. Butler Obituary

Crystal Celeste Butler, 45, of Trenton, NJ passed peacefully into the loving embrace of eternal rest on Sunday, April 26, 2026. Crystal was born on September 18, 1980, at Mercer Hospital to the late Kenneth and Alice Butler.

Crystal was a lifelong resident of Trenton. She attended Trenton Public Schools and later earned her GED. Crystal had a curious spirit and a love for exploring the world around her.

Crystal began her career in food service in the early 2000s. She first worked for Trenton Public Schools as a lunch aide before continuing her career at where she worked in the Food Service Department for over eight years. Through her dedication and hard work, she earned the position of Supervisor. After resigning, Crystal followed her passion for caring for others and became a caregiver with Sevita as a Professional Direct Support staff member, where she lovingly cared for children with disabilities.

Crystal was an exceptional woman whose love knew no limits. She radiated warmth, kindness, and joy to everyone she encountered. She cherished spending time with family and friends — sharing laughter over dinner, enjoying shopping trips, car rides, vacations, and celebrations. Crystal was the friend you could always call for encouragement or comfort, and the one eager to recommend a new restaurant she wanted everyone to try. She had the sweetest soul and never hesitated to help others, even strangers, without expecting anything in return.

Crystal was predeceased by her parents, Kenneth and Alice Butler; her sister, Cassandra Butler; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Crystal’s precious memories will forever be cherished by her daughter, Zanii Butler; her sons, Zaire Butler and Zyon Anderson; her granddaughters, Ledgend Billipus and Melani Anderson; her nieces and nephews, Tanaya (Shawn) Scott, Harmony Edwards, Kahir Butler, Prince Jones, and Tahzire Jones; her great-nephew, Yahsan Styles; her aunts, Sandra Funches, Veronica Funches, and Ethel Funches; her uncles, Victor Butler and Sterling Funches; a host of loving cousins; and many special friends, including Miesha, Dieah, Marniece, and Retha.

Crystal’s loving spirit, beautiful smile, and caring heart will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved.
