Daisy Lewis was born on September 3, 1943 and departed this life on October 19. 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Daisy was born in Fairfield, Alabama and at an early age she relocated to Trenton, NJ where she attended Trenton Public School System. She was formerly employed at Norelco in Hightstown, NJ. She also worked for General Motors for many years before retirement. After retirement she obtained a position as a foster grandmother for Hamilton School System's Pre-School Program. She loved spending time with her family, listening to music and traveling. One of her favorite places to unwind was Atlantic City, NJ.
She was a dedicated member of St. John's Baptist Church where she served on the Scholarship and Kitchen Committees.
Daisy was preceded in death by her daughter Selena D. Lewis, her parents Joseph, Sr. and Alberta Thompson. Two brothers, Willie Moore, Joseph Thompson Jr. Two sisters, Geraldine Thompson and Brunetta Williams- Mims and niece Tiffany House-Corum.
Daisy's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by her son Andre Lewis, three sisters, Delores Reyonlds of E wing Township, Denora (Anthony Yon) Thompson of Trenton, N.J and Martha Hughe-Bellamy of Trenton, NJ. One brother, Anthony (Jackie) Thompson of Lynchburg, Virgina. Nieces Charlotte Moreland and Dione McCoy. Nephews, Douglas Moreland Jr. Derrick Smith. Leonard Thompson, Darius Thompson, Onaje Thompson, Michael Cadlett and Jermain House.
Funeral service will be 11am Friday, October 31, 2025 at St. John's Baptist Church, 70 Oregon Ave., Ewing, NJ 08638. Calling hour will be 10am until the time of service. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.
