Daniel Ware Obituary

DANIEL L. COX-WARE, age 32, of Sicklerville, New Jersey, transitioned from Earth to Glory on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg, VA. Daniel, affectionately known to his family as “DJ.”

He was educated in the Trenton and Hamilton public schools. After graduation Daniel attended William Paterson University and majored in music. He later joined the United States Marine Corps, where he continued his education. He successfully completed Recruit Training, Marine Combat Training, Basic Music and Leading Marines Distance Education.His primary specialty was music and he played over forty different instruments.

During his tenure he received several service medals, the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, a Letter of Appreciation and a Sharpshooter Rifle Qualification Badge.

After his military service he worked at NetCurrier, Coredial and the Educational Testing Service as an IT Technician. He also volunteered and taught music at Royal Palm Beach High in Royal Palm Beach Fl.

Daniel was preceded in death by his biological father, Daniel L. Cox, Sr. and his grandfather Clayton Cox, Sr.

He was a former member of the New Hope Church of God in Christ. He was an actor, comedian and enjoyed music, reading, singing, dancing, plays and being the favorite uncle. His friends say he was a good fun guy, good to be around and always made you laugh.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his blended family, his parents David and Sandra Ware. His siblings David, Jr., Danielle Ware, Keiondria Rainey (Carl), Lisa Cornell (Herbert), and Denna Watson (Allan). His grandmother, Nelliose Heard of Trenton NJ. One special uncle, Kenneth Stewart of Trenton NJ. Five special aunts, Essie Stackhouse, Calandria Heard and Minnie Davis all of Trenton, NJ, Joann Mimes of Willingboro, NJ and Dorothy Saunders of Royal Palm Beach, Fl. He also leaves to cherish his memory several aunts, uncles, and a of host nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Sleep on Daniel take your rest, we all love you, but God loves you best! 

Services will be 11am Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 150 N. Clinton Ave., Trenton, NJ 08609. Calling hours will be 9am until the time of services. Interment will be at Colonial Memorial Park, Hamilton, NJ. Arrangements are by the Hughes Funeral Home.
