DARRYL BERNARD JOHNSON was born on March 28 1963, in Trenton, NJ to the late Jessie L. & Clarence Johnson Jr.
DARRYL was educated in Trenton NJ Private and Public-School Systems, attending Our Lady of Divine Shepard, Jr. Hich #3. Trenton Central High School, and NJ Job Corp where he successfully
obtained his GED.
For many years, Darryl was self-employed working for his family business, in 1998, Darryl relocated to Mullins, South Carolina where he worked for Midcom Cable Company in Bennettsville, South Carolina and worked as an assembly line worker. Darryl spent his days watching his favorite football team the New York "GIANTS' the television series "The Walking Dead", and Wrestling. Darryl had a passion for driving and boy did he enjoy driving and keeping his dream car clean "The Suburban There was never a day where he did not talk to his much-adored sister, Vanessa beginning with their morning wake up calls.
Darryl transitioned from his earthly home and entered eternal peace on Sunday, March 16, 2025.
while resting peacefully at his home. While we are completely heartbroken, we will always remember his mild manner, quiet presence, his laughter, and his love for others. Darryl had a heart of gold and he had begun to live his life to the fullest. Many times, Darryl made it known how Blessed he was to reunite with his FOREVER LOVE, Sherry. The two of them loved each other genuinely and endlessly.
Darryl was predeceased in death by his parents, Clarence Jr. and Jessie L. Johnson, his eldest sister, Deborah Johnson Williams. Darryl leaves to cherish his memory; the love of his life_ wife, Shery Lynn Watkins - Johnson; sons, Johnathan Johnson (Évelyn) of Colorado Springs, CO:, Ryan Johnson (Shachelle) of Hartford, CT.: bonus son, Jimmy Watkins (Angeline/fiancée) of NE Philadelphia, Pa; four grandchildren, Johnathan Johnson Jr., Chloe Johnson, Jah'mir Johnson, and Jahsan Watkins; sister. Vanessa J. Williams of Winter Springs, FL. loving niece and nephew Lauren W. Gordon and Matthew Wiliams, four special cousins, Stanley Moses, Bily Johnson, Houston "Tony" Johnson, and Gregory McCoy: Sister-in-laws, Lenora Jefferson, Anita Watkins - Genwright, Denise Watkins Smith; many loving cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Funeral service will be 11am Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Calvary Christian Fellowship Ministries, 611 Parkway Ave., Ewing, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 10am until the time of service. Interment will be private.
