Darryl Davis Jr.

Darryl Davis Jr., affectionately called "DJ" was born on November 6, 1987, in Long Branch, NJ to Darryl Davis Sr (Trenton, NJ) and Kim Davis (Atlanta, GA). DJ has three sisters; Shenika Davis, Hamilton, NJ; Precious Davis, Jacksonville, FL and Dawn Davis, Atlanta, GA all of whom he loved very much He is the father to two children: Jayceon Davis and Ziaor Miller. On May 21, 2022, DJ transitioned in Philadelphia, P A to his eternal resting place. 

 

Growing up, DJ loved playing the drums at church and basketball in his neighborhood. In 2006, DJ graduated from Youth Build, an alternative high school in Trenton NJ. As an emerging leader, he graduated with honors as Valedictorian. He even delivered the commencement speech to his peers. In 2016, DJ moved to Atlanta, GA and quickly became a Supervisor for Linx Logistics. 

 

When you encountered DJ, you encountered a smile. When you encountered DJ, you encountered one who would do anything to see someone else succeed. When you encountered DJ, you encountered the life of the party. When you encountered DJ, you encountered a young father who was excited about his kids. When you encountered DJ, you encountered a man who was crazy about his family. 

 

DJ was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Milton Morris and Ruth Davis, both of Freehold, NJ; Maternal Grandparents, Frank Lanier and Jean Ellen Lanier both of New Brunswick, NJ. 

 

Forever in our hearts, DJ leaves to cherish his memories with his children, his sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins and Nieces: Amani Davis, Aniya Davis, Laila Butler and his great niece Zamaiya Davis as well as a host of more family and friends. DJ will truly be missed.
