Daryl Trent Sr.

With much love spread and many memories shared, our beloved Daryl accepted his angel's invitation into the kingdom on Thursday, May 25, 2023 in Burlington, New Jersey. As a result, our hearts are less bright but we know the heavens are filled with extra doses of love, joy, peace and laughter.

Daryl Robert Trent Sr. was born on January 26, 1956 in Brooklyn, New York to Robert Johnson and Delores (Trent) Sims. He remained a lifelong resident of New Jersey.

He attended Trenton High School and later earned his G.E.D. After high school. Daryl enlisted in the United States Army 1974 and in 1977. He was employed as a Senior Medical Security Officer for the State of New Jersey.

In his leisure time, Daryl enjoyed watching movies, listening to music, smoking cigars, and people watching. He enjoyed watching football, he was an avid fan of the San Francisco forty-niners, Daryl attended church at New Life Christian Center.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert Johnson; mother Delores (Trent) Sims; brother William Trent.

Daryl's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by his children Daryl Trent Jr. of Pennsylvania his daughter Dwan Samson (Roderick) of Colorado, son Daron Trent of New Jersey, son Justin Trent of New Jersey, daughter Shemira Hudson of New Jersey and son Darnell Hudson of New Jersey; two brothers Eric Trent of New Jersey and Charles Sims of California; two sisters Bethany Trent of California and Darya Sims of New Jersey; ten grandchildren Shakera (Daryl), Kiara (Daryl) Masiah (Daryl), Jahiri (Daryl), Ida lias (Dwan), Jalen (Dwan), Christian (Daron), Crysten (Daron), Christopher (Daron), Chrissonna (Daron), Mikayla (Darnell); two great grandchildren Kaoir (Kiara), Syris (ldalias); his significant other Faith Robinson-Mitchell of New Jersey; A Special mention Linda Hudson., He is also survived by an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins, many other loved ones.

Funeral service will be 11am Friday, June 9, 2023 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618 . Calling hours will be 9am until the time of service. Interment will be at Fountain Lawn Memorial Park, Ewing, NJ.
