David Bridgeforth

David E. Bridgeforth Jr., affectionately known as "DJ Bink" was born on December 16, 1966 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late David and Marlene Bridgeforth. Being Marlene's only son he was truly a Momma's Boy! Around 1972, David's family moved to Trenton, NJ, where he remained a lifelong resident.

David was educated in the Trenton Public School System and gradu ted from Trenton Central High School. Following graduation, he entered the United States Navy. David later continued his 
education by receiving a degree in Auto Mechanics from Lincoln Technical Institute.

David's love of music began when he became a DJ in the early 1980's. He started his own entertainment company called "Asanti Entertainment". All who knew him understood his passion and 
love for the best of the old school hip hop and R&B. If you attempted to request anything other than his favorite music, he wouId say "I ain't playing that crap because I don't know nothing they 
are saying and it ain't real music!". Binky as he was affectionately known to family and friends, had an abundance of love for his family. Not having children of his own his.nieces and nephews 
became his children. You could catch him at any given time with one of his many nephews who adored their "Unc". He was fond of his sisters and nieces as well, very well known as their "protector". When David was not on the mix table you could find him in chill mode with a good cigar and a glass of Jack Daniel.

At the age of 58, David departed this life on February 26, 2025. He left many hearts broken and will truly be missed.

In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents; a brother-in-law, Michael L. James; his nephew, Mikey; and his best friend, Brucey.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories four sisters, Shari Bridgeforth, Sheena Baughan (David), Aisha Abdu I Oabir, and Tiffany Bridgeforth; two brothers, Mark Bridgeforth (Diane) and Russell 
Bridgeforth; his nephews: Wade, Rayshawn, Joey, Rashawn, Marcques, Marcell, Tommy, Terry, Breyon, Troy, Markeese, Ryan, his special nephews Marcques 11,Josiah, Javon, Richard, and Jamal; his nieces: Jasmine, Kenya, Dontreal, Lashawn, China, Natequa, Rajihnae, Tarogih, Marjai, Maniya, Juwayriyah, and Tashawn; his special friends: Keith, Dhavay, Michael, Shawn, Gee, David, Gino, Johnnie, lkee, and Ron; and a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. And let's not forqet the DJ community and all who loved to watch him spin.

Funeral service will be 2pm Friday, March 21, 2025 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 1pm until the time of service. Interment will be private.
