Dawn Wingo Obituary

Dawn Wingo was born on February 20, 1962 to the late Eleanor and Hearl Wingo in New York, NY at Harlem Hospital. Dawn was educated in the New York public school system receiving her High School diploma from John F. Kennedy High School. She was a pillar in her community always helping children and elders. Her love for her neighborhood was celebrated as she was sure to attend the "famous" Battleground Park Reunion. Dawn loved Christ and was a dedicated member of Light of the World Family Christian Church.

Memories of Dawn are cherished by her son Michael (Jazmen), her grandchildren Destini, Michaela, and Nubia. Her sisters Anna , Isabelle (Gilbert), Cynthia, Sheila(James) and her brother Kenneth (Teresa).

She was also treasured by loved ones Vickie, Darlene, and Ruby George & Family. Although she had a host of nieces and nephews, Ms. Dawn had a special relationship with her nieces Shannon .Nerissa, and nephew Taron, Wesley, and Kenneth Jr.

 

Funeral service will be 12pm Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Light of World Church, 2400 S. Broad St, Hamilton, NJ 08610. Calling hour will be 11am until the time of service. Interment will be at Colonial Memorial Park, Hamilton, NJ.
