Deborah Hosey Obituary

Deborah Suzanne Hosey was born on October 21, 1950 to Fields and Maybelle Larmore. She was a loving daughter and thoughtful caretaker to her parents. Deborah graduated in 1968 from Trenton Central High School. She attended Mercer County Community College and then enrolled and graduated from Bryman School for Medical Assistants. After working in various medical facilities, she became a secretary for the Trenton Board of Education until her retirement.

Deborah met the love of her life, Walter Hosey, in 1968 at a high school party and they dated until they were married on July 7,1973. They enjoyed their home, went to concerts, loved taking cruises, and created a beautiful life together. Hosey's love for Deborah is the very definition of "Always and Forever." Deborah and Hosey were truly in-love and were married for 48 wonderful years, and to this union, were blessed with two beautiful children, Walter and Devon l. Hosey.

Deborah's pride and joy were her children. She took every opportunity to visit her daughter in Washington, DC, and talked various times each day with her son who lives in Oaxaca, Mexico. She was the kind of mother who truly knew her children, listening intently to their daily stories and knowing instinctively when to offer her motherly advice and when to simply lend a loving ear and express her unwavering love and support. She also enjoyed the theatre, decorating her home, shopping, fancy hats, even fancier nails, butterflies, bright colors, and matching outfits. She somehow always found a way to stay upbeat and fashionable, even when faced with health setbacks that would have dimmed the light of most people. Her true passion was spending time with the people she loved. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, as each year she would choose a different theme and color scheme and decorate the entire house, with the centerpiece being her meticulously-decorated Christmas tree. Who could forget her Michael Jackson-inspired tree?! She would then prepare food for family and guests who would come to the house for the annual Christmas Eve dinner. Her newest and most fervent love was video chatting with her grandchildren, who also live in Oaxaca, Mexico.

Deborah was a woman of unrelenting faith and a dedicated servant of the Lord. She was a faithful tither and a member of Greater Life Church. Her devotion and belief in the Lord provided her with humility during her many moments of joy, laughter, and satisfaction, and strengthened her during life's moments of doubt, discomfort, and illness. She was a true believer and God rewarded her faith with a loving family and a beautiful life. She became an ancestor on October 8, 2021. Deborah will truly be missed by her family and friends.

To cherish her memory, Deborah leaves two brothers, Alan and Mitchell Larmore, a sister-inlaw, Janice W. Larmore, a half-sister, Shirley L. Pryor, 3 nephews, Alan Larmore, Jr., Brandon M. Larmore, and Travis J. larmore, 4 great nieces, Cassidy, Elyse, and Diamond Larmore, and 2 great nephews, Lexington and Marcus Larmore. Also left to continue her legacy are her 2 grandchildren, Walter Fields Hosey Valencia, and her namesake, Deborah Ashantti Hosey Valencia, who bothaffectionately called her uGrandma Shark."
