Deborah Tucker Obituary

Deborah Jean Tucker, lovingly known as Debbie or Shamera, was born on August 22, 1960 In Trenton, New Jersey, and peacefully entered eternal rest at home, surrounded by her devoted family, on June 23, 2025.

A lifelong resident of Trenton, Debbie was educated In the Trenton public school systems and later moved to Pemberton where she graduated high school In 1978.

Debbie was a proud and faithful member of First Baptist Church of Trenton, where she served with love, worshipped with sincerity, and freely shared her spiritual gifts.

Debbie was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her unwavering faith, generous spirit, and radiant presence were a blessing to all who knew her. She led with grace, prayed with power, and loved unconditionally. Her legacy is one of resilience, compassion, and Joy. With a heart for people and a deep love for her family, Debbie's presence was both comforting and inspiring. Her laughter was contagious, her wisdom grounding, and her door always open. A nurturer, a prayer warrior, and a true matriarch, her spiritual strength touched many lives and will continue to do so for generations to come.

Debbie was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Doris Minney Jackson of Trenton and David Tucker of Ewing; her cherished aunts and uncles-David, Earl, Emmanuel, Janet, Pearl, and Violet; her siblings Charlotte Parker (Norfolk, VA), Shella and Sherlan Conover (Trenton), and Darlene and Robert Jackson (Red Bank, NJ); and her beloved friend, the legendary Ms. Mary Spivey.

She leaves behind a legacy of love through her family: Her loving and faithful daughter and caregiver, Tiffany Tucker (William); her sons, Omar Tucker (Camden), and Shadeed and Acoya Tucker (Delaware); Grandchildren: Shamar Tucker, Nazair Nokes, Clover Spaulding, Prinston Brannon, Shymier Hardison, and Azuri Hughes; Great-grandchildren: Nylani Hawkins and Nyzair, Jr. (Camden, NJ); Siblings, aunts, and uncles who survive her: Ann Conover (Augusta, GA), Keith Watson, Mark and Belinda Tucker (all of Trenton), Tyrone Wallace (Atlantic City, NJ), Barbara J. Reaves (Trenton, NJ), and Della Richardson (Pemberton, NJ); Along with a host of cousins, extended family, and cherished friends. While there. are many special friends and acknowledgments to mention a few: Rev. Dr. Calvin Nadar Powell, Elsie Moore {Pittsfield, Ma), Patricia Wharton (Trenton, NJ).

 

Funeral service will be 12pm Monday, July 7, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Trenton, 128 Centre St., NJ 08611. Calling hour will be 11am, until the time of service. Interment will be private.
