On July 23rd, 2025, Debra Ann Pernell, with her loving family by her side, she peacefully transitioned to be with the Lord.
She was born in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, to Bronda & Roger Horne she was 3rd of six children.
Debbie was educated in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, in the public school system before moving to Trenton, New Jersey. In Trenton, she continued her education.
She was employed as a Home Health Aid in the healthcare system for many years.She loved helping her mother in the yard planting flower. She was a volunteer at Jersey Street Nursing before it became Riverside.
She loved going to church. She served on the Usher Board of Grant Chapel AME.She loved being around family and friends and always wanted a party for her birthday. Debbie was a loving, caring wife, sister, and aunt.
She will be missed!
Debbie was preceded in death by mother Bronda & Roger Horne and one Uncle Charles Jones
Debbie leaves to cherish her fond memories, her five sisters Linda Williams ( David) Shirley Jones, Ruth Brown, Naomi Horne, Chiquita Horne- Jones(Sara) Two Aunts Marjorie Little and Patty Jones; one Uncle Robert Jones. She has a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral service will be 11am Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 10am until the time of service. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ.
