Debra Jean Robinson Combs passed away peacefully on March 6, 2025, with her daughter, Kianah, by her bedside, where her last words were love you. Born on December 22, 1957, in Trenton, New Jersey, Debbie was the cherished daughter of the late Thelma Pack Robinson and Samuel Robinson, Sr.
Debbie received her education in Trenton schools and graduated from Trenton Central High School. She spent her early years in East Trenton and later resided in South Trenton for two decades. Fulfilling`a lifelong dream, she eventually returned to her childhood home.
Her professional journey began at local daycare centers after high schaol. She later worked at Superfresh in Hamilton, Care One at Hamilton, and Complete Care (formerly Mercerville Nursing Home), retiring in 2024. Beyond her career, Debbie was a dedicated foster mother for many years, opening her heart and home to numerous children.
Debbie had a passion for travel, frequently visiting Virginia and Maryland to spend time with her sisters before their return to New Jersey. She cherished trips to Ciearwater, Florida, with her father, Sam, and stepmother, Juanita, and enjoyed cruises with coworkers. An avid hostess, Debbie delighted in organizing themed parties with meticulous decorations. She had a special fondness for her game cailed "Boobie Boobie" and took great pleasure in decorating her home for every holiday. A nurturing mother, Debbie taught her daughter the art of cooking and imparted valuable life lessons, shaping her into the woman she is today. She loved to capture precious moments by taking pictures and was a devoted caretaker to all she loved. Known affectionately as the "crazy aunt, Debbie was candid and unreserved in her opinions.
Her faith journey began at an early age when she gave her life to Christ. She attended White City Church of Christ, established by her grandparents, Deacon George and Mother Isa Robinson. In her youth she attended church along with her cousins. Debble was preceded in death by her parents, Thelma Pack Robinson and Samuel Robinson, Sr., and her brother, Kenneth Robinson.
She is survived by her husband, Israel (Hamilton, N); Stepmother Juanita Robinson (Clearwater, FL); Son, Andray Robinson (Benbrook, Texas); Daughter, Kianah Robinson (Grand Prairie, Texas); sisters, Denise (DeDe, Trenton) Billings and Sandra Robinson DeLoach (Hamilton, NJ); brother, Samuel Robinson, Jr. (Sandra, Hamilton, NJ); granddaughter, Jazmine Robinson; 4 godchildren, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Debbie's legacy of love, generosity, and unwavering faith wil forever remain in the
hearts of those who were blessed to know her. Funeral service will be 11am Monday, March 17, 2025 at Greater Faith Church of Christ, 554 Ridge Ave, Hamilton Twp., NJ 08610. Calling hours will be 9am until the time of service. Interment will be private.
