Delores McNeill, 65, of Trenton, New Jersey, peacefully departed this life on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Capital Health in Trenton, NJ. Born on August 22, 1960, Delores was a long-time resident of Trenton, where she lived for more than 50 years and built a life centered on family and friendship.
Delores was educated in the Trenton Public School System and was a proud graduate of Trenton Central High School. She later devoted many years to domestic work until declining health made it necessary for her to retire.
Known for her warm smile and generous spirit, Delores found great joy in cooking and caring for others. Her home was a gathering place where family and friends were always welcomed with open arms, a hot meal, and heartfelt love. She especially enjoyed entertaining loved ones’ birthdays, and other special occasions, creating lasting memories for all who entered her home.
Delores also had a passion for travel and enjoyed getting away whenever she could. She especially cherished weekend road trips with her girlfriends and her daughter, Toneka, who often served as their devoted chauffeur. Those trips were filled with laughter, friendship, and unforgettable memories that she treasured dearly.
Delores attended Friendship Baptist Church for many years alongside her mother, who was a devoted and dedicated member of the congregation. Her faith, kindness, and compassion were evident throughout her life and served as an inspiration to many.
Delores was preceded in death by her beloved her father, James McNeill; mother, Mattie McNeill; her brothers, Archie Robinson, William Robinson, and James McNeil! Jr.; and her sister, Brenda McNeill.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving son, Nathaniel McNeill (Cynthia); her devoted daughter, Toneka McNeill-Little (Brandon); and her beloved grandchildren, Brandon Little Jr. and Daquan Kelly-Wise, Uniquewa Rogers, Nasih Rogers, Taqueena Rogers, Husniyyah Rogers, Dante Amacker; great-grandchildren Legacy Rogers, Levon Jones and Aizeni Rogers. She is also survived by her sisters, Mattie Lee Stackhouse of Fairmont, North Carolina, and Lillian McNeill of Lumberton, North Carolina, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extend-ed family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.
Delores will be remembered for her loving heart, welcoming spirit, unwavering devotion to her family, her love of travel, and the joy she brought to every gathering. Though she has departed from this earthly life, her legacy of love, and family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Funeral service will be 11am Monday, June 15, 2026 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 10am until the time of service. Interment will be private.
