Dione Ellis

Dione Alexander Ellis was born in Trenton, New Jersey on June 12, 2005 and just recently celebrated his 16th birthday. Educated in the Trenton public school system, he graduated from Jefferson Elementary School and later graduated from Joyce Kilmer Elementary School. Dione attended Trenton Central High School where he was a student in the Restaurant and Business Small Learning Community.

 

Dione loved sports, especially basketball and football. He played football for the Ewing Junior Blue Devils.  Dione was a member of the Ball Hawks AAU team, and just recently made the basketball team at Trenton Central High School. Dione could always be found smiling, eating his favorite food of fried chicken and playing around with his little sister Kenady. Dione loved all of his family and friends, and his love for his parents was immeasurable. A few months ago, while being 

interviewed about his recent accomplishments, when questioned about what motivates him to keep going, he answered "his parents."

 

Dione was destined for greatness. His love for fashion and sneakers was everything to him and inspired Dione to become a young entrepreneur at just 15 years old. He formed a LLC  named "Young N Turnt" and created a clothing line that represented exactly who he was...Young N Turnt.

 

Dione was employed with the City of Trenton as a lifeguard. He enjoyed spending his summers helping others and working alongside his father and friends. Dione will be greeted in heaven by his late great­ grandparents, Franklin Ellis and Patricia Ellis; aunt and uncle, Valerie Wharton and Franklin Ellis, Jr.

 

He will leave to mourn his parents, Dione and Shakena Ellis; his little sister, Kenady Ellis; grandmothers, Arlene Wharton and Seeaftia Ellis of Trenton, NJ; grandfathers, Desmond 

Brown(Semontha) of Brooklyn, NY and Donald Prather; great­ grandparents, Audrey Brown of Brooklyn, NY and Juanita Edwards of Trenton, NJ; aunts, Shaquanda Wharton-Mathis, Myeshia Prathe,r Daysha Prather, Tanisha Hill, and Jhoule Ellis all of Trenton, NJ, Zakiya Witherspoon and Toshana Brown of Brooklyn, NY; uncles, Steven and Shem Ellis of Trenton, NJ, 

Desario Brown and Sihon Brown of Brooklyn, NY; godparents, Shaquaya McGee, Latoya Green, Ali and Andy Epstein; and a  host of great aunts and uncles, cousins and friends, including his special friends, Tijon, Azir and Desmond.
