Domica L. Rattley

Domica L. Rattley affectionately known as "Mica" or "Moe", peacefully departed this life on Thursday, December 25, 2025, at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, New Jersey, surrounded by her loved ones. She was 44 years old.

Born on February 19, 1981, in Trenton, NJ, Domica was the third child of Elaine and the late Byron Jenkins. A lifelong resident of the community, she was educated in the Trenton Public School system and was a proud 1999 graduate of Trenton Central High School.

Domica's career was defined by her nurturing spirit. She was currently employed by the Belle Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Trenton. Her remarkable compassion for others especially for babies and the elderly left an everlasting impact on everyone she encountered.

She found her greatest joy in spending quality time with her children, whom she truly adored.

Domica had a vibrant personality and found beauty in the simple things: she loved the color purple, admired the elegance of roses, and enjoyed relaxing to R&B music and her favorite television shows. Her kindness and generosity were the hallmarks of her life.

Domica was preceded in death by her father, Byron Jenkins; her grandparents, Essie Mae Barnes, and Louise and Andrew Jenkins Sr.; her uncles, Rudolph Jenkins and Andrew Jenkins Jr.; her aunt, Doris McInttrye; and her grandmother-in-law, Mary L. Davis Hodges.

Her memory will be cherished forever by her husband, Rodney Rattley; her three daughters, Ceyonnie, Rayona and Niyanna Rattley; and her one and only son, Rodney Rattley Jr.

She also leaves to mourn her mother, Elaine Jenkins; two brothers, Antonio and Calvin Barnes; her sister, Latasha Johnson (Ernest); her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Carrie Pottinger (Loxley) and Joseph Rattley; her sisters-in-law, Alyssa Rattley and Shade Pottinger; her three brothers-in-law, Terrance Rattley, Brandon Settles (Valencia), and Justin Settles; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

Funeral service will be 12pm Friday, January 9, 2026 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hours will be 10am until the time of service.  Interment will be private.
