Dwayne Edward Jones

Dwayne Edward Jones of Ewing, NJ, passed away on July 23, 2025, at the age of 53.

Born on April 15, 1972, in Killeen, Texas (Fort Hood), Dwayne was raised by his devoted parents, Carl and Sheryl Jones. He later made his home in Ewing, where he attended the Ewing School District and built lifelong friendships.

Dwayne will be remembered for his sharp wit, generous spirit, and steadfast loyalty. He had a remarkable gift for making everyone laugh. Dwayne found joy in life’s simple pleasures. But nothing brought Dwayne more pride than being a father and coach.

Whether cheering from the sidelines, tossing a ball in the yard, or mentoring young athletes, Dwayne’s deep love for the game was matched only by the love he had for his four children, three sons and one daughter. He brought that same warmth, heart, and energy to every part of his life.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Sheryl Lynn Jones; his uncle, Howard Brown; and his aunts, Sylvia Jones and Lucy Jones. Their memories remained close to his heart throughout his life.

Dwayne is lovingly survived by his father, Carl Jones; his children, Demeatris Freeman, Justice Jones, Julianna Jones, and Teegan Jones; his sister, Christina Jones; his brother, Dan Brown; and his fiancée, Tanya Jackson. Each held a special place in his heart and life.

A memorial service celebrating Dwayne’s life will be held at 11am on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Central Church in Ewing, NJ. Calling hour will be 10am until the time of service. Interment will be private.
