Edward L. Carter Obituary

With much love spread and many memories shared, our beloved Edward accepted his angel's invitation into the kingdom on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. As a result, our hearts are less bright but we know the heavens are filled with extra doses of love, joy, peace and laughter.

Edward Lynn Carter was born Saturday, September 8, 1962 in Birmingham, Alabama to Eugene and Claretta Carter.

He was educated in the Hamilton and Trenton public schools. After high school he entered the military where he served in the United States Marine Corps.

Eddie was a cherished son, brother, father, uncle, husband, and friend. He was a lead forklift Supervisor at Penske Cold Storage Facility known fQr his excellent training capa- bilities. He enjoyed many things such as planting rose bushes with his mother, fixing cars with his father, vacationing/traveling with his wife and family. He liked to play spades, and at times you would see him doing his 2 step. He would pass time by searching google daily, he loved The Dallas Cowboys and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brother Reginald Carter; nephew Robert Deloach Jr.; niece Tatiana Carter.

Edward's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by his loving wife Victoria D. Carter of Trenton, NJ; three sons Edward Jamal Carter of Virginia, Kelvin Bellamy of Newfield, NJ and Louis G. Brown II of Trenton, NJ; four daughters Tierra Sanders of Hamilton, NJ, Kellie Sanders of Virginia, Amber Brown of Ewing, NJ and Aaliyah Brown of Trenton, NJ; a brother Stanley Carter of Trenton, NJ; three sisters Oneisa Berry of Trenton, NJ, Trisha Carter of Trenton, NJ and Sonya Thompson of Virginia; mother-in·law Martha Hursey of Ewing, NJ; a sister-in-law Valerie (Vernon) Gr:een of Ewing, NJ; two brothers-in-law Bruce Watson of Trenton, NJ and Kevin (Anitra) Hursey of Illinois; thirteen grandchildren; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

 

Funeral service will be 12pm Friday, May 16, 2025 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 11am until the time of service. Interment will be 10am Monday, May 19, 2025 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
