Edward Wormley "Weedle"

After 69 years of bringing laughter, love, and creativity to all who knew him, Edward "Weedle" Wormley Jr peacefully transitioned on Sunday April 19, 2026.

Weedle was born on January 15, 1957, in Trenton, New Jersey, to the late Phoebe Lee Howard and Edward Wormley Sr. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Donnie Howard. He was educated in the Ewing Township School District.

Weedle began his working career at R&S Strauss in Trenton, New Jersey. He later worked at The College of New Jersey and concluded his career at Anne Klein Forensic Center, dedicating many years of service to his community in both Trenton and Ewing, New Jersey

Known affectionately by many as "Edward Scissorhands," Weedle had a remarkable talent for landscaping and building. He was a creative and resourceful individual who made a lasting impact on those around him, especially the youth in his community. He loved sports, enjoyed having a good time, and often spoke about "being fired up." Whether cruising on his bike or repairing one, he found joy in staying active and helping others. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family.

Weedle was truly one of a kind, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and creativity that will never be forgotten.

He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Twiane Moore and Regina Wallace; two grandchildren, Ty'A and TyQuan Woodall: five brothers, James (Betty) Howard, Michael Evans, Clarence (Elizabeth) Wormley, Brian Wormley, and Jacque (Vanessa) Howard; and one beloved sister. Michele Wright, all of Trenton, New Jersey, along with a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral service will be 11am Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 10am until the time of service. Interment will be at Fountain Lawn Memorial Park, Ewing, NJ.
