Obituary
Eryne Reshaun Feggins departed this life Saturday April 24, 2021 at home.
Born in Trenton NJ, Eryne was educated in the Trenton Public School System, where she was enrolled in the Trenton School Districts Gifted and Talent Program for advanced academic studies. After high school, Eryne worked for various companies while attending Mercer County Community College where she obtained an Associates in Paralegal Studies. A devout Democrat she worked at the election polls and volunteered for multiple political campaigns.
Eryne’s love and devotion to her son lead her to work with many child advocacy programs such as NJ After 3 and Mercer County S.M.I.L.E/Gear-Up. An active PTA mom at Rivera and Joyce Kilmer Elementary Schools she also Volunteered at the boys and Girls Club of America where she taught culinary arts to the youth participants. She worked as a volunteer at the Salvation Army’s Friday night feedings, Toys for Tots, Woman’s Ministry, and Corps Cadet Programs. Most passionately involved with the Mercer County Special Services School System, her dedication to the autistic community derived from her beloved autistic family members, including her eldest son, two brothers, and young cousin. Wherever she went, children gravitated towards her compassionate yet no-nonsense aura. Her greatest legacies would become the powerful impressions she would leave behind.
Predeceased by her mother, Virginia Lee Feggins, father, Erich Roosevelt (Sarge) Feggins, two brothers Eric Roosevelt Feggins and Evan Roosevelt Feggins
Eryne is survived by her three children, Zakee J Hill, Safiyyah Al-Nisa Chouinard (Nick) and Emmanuel Yusuf Hill. A life partner, Iven Ansley. Five nieces, two nephews, one great nephew, one great niece, and her most loved Jeremiah, and a host of dearly loved cousins, family members and friends.
Eryne was a woman who opened her heart for anyone, except for “liars, criers, and thieves.” She always emphasized “this and that part”. And whished everyone she saw love, peace, hair grease!
