Estelle B. Phox (Harris) age 85 of Princeton, NJ quietly went home to be with the Lord on August 4, 2020 at the Princeton Care Center.
Estella was born in Charlottesville, VA on December 23, 1934 to the late Joseph Harris and Rosa (Smith), she is also preceded in death by her by her sisters, Louise Harris Fernandez, Grace Harris Brooks, Margaret E. Page (Harris), Pauline D. Jackson (Harris), Frances Victoria Harris, brothers, Joseph Harris Jr. and Hugh Love’joy Harris, daughter Debra Harris, son, John F. Harris and grandson Michael Harris.
She was a lifelong resident of Princeton, NJ. Estelle worked as a Prep Cook Manager at the “Legendary” PJ’s Pancake House for over 20 years.
Estelle had many hobbies; she enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and especially her trips to the casino.
She was well known for cooking “that good” southern food for her family and friends.
Left to cherish her memory, her sisters, Sylvia Harris Coles (William), Lucy Haris Briggs, her sons, Charles Phox Jr., and Barry Phox, daughters Lisa Khan (Phox), and Cynthia Foy Phox (Darryle), grandchildren, Asha and Bashaun Phox, especially acknowledging Hugh Carter, Barbara Ann. Loman, Grace Harris, Alfred Page, Kelly, Christi, Kerri, Paul, Sherry, Jackie, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Services will be 2 - 3pm Thursday, August 13, 2020 at the Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618.
