Ethel transitioned from this life on February 12, 2025, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Serenity Hospice in Hamitl on, NJ. At an early age, Ethel moved from Virginia to Delaware and then to Hightstown, NJ with her family. There she was taught to love God, love family and to love her church family. She was educated and graduated from the Northampton school system. Ethel was in the workforce for over eighty years. She was a faithful and loyal employee of Graham Packaging Corporation, a waitress at Princeton University and a bus aide for Rick's Busing Company. She mentioned that she was very proud of her experience as a professional waitress. Ethel has always been a dedicated and consistent worker and received many recognitions and honors for her devoted service.
For over sixty years, Ethel was a faithful member of St. James A.M.E. Church of Hightstown, NJ, serving under Pastors, Rev. Matthew Evans, Rev. Ronald L. Green and Rev. Stephen E. Br yant Sr. Her service to ministry included The Alice Brown Missionary Society, The Usher Ministry and The Stewardess Board. VVhile at St. James Church, Ethel fell in love with God's word and loved studying scriptures from the bible. She also volunteered much of her time to serving and assisting in the kitchen, supporting fundraisers and attending countless church anniversaries.
As a young woman, Ethel loved to bowl, sew, and crochet. Ethel was stylish from bead to toe and was known to tell you EXACTLY what she TRULY FELT!!! She was full of life and enjoyed laughter, friends and family while taking one day at a time.
