Felice "Leecy" Tunison

Felice Charlet Tunison was born on December 16, 1958, to Margaret "Peggy" Hughes Tunison and the late Clarence "Buck" Tunison in Princeton, NJ.

Felice was raised and educated in Skillman, NJ. She received her primary educated in Montgomery School System and graduated in 1976. She attended Lebanon Valley University and graduated from Rider University in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. She pursued her passion and her career in modeling and graduated from Barbizon Modeling & Acting Studio of NYC.

Felice was previously employed at Bristol Myers Squibb in the Legal Department, Stark and Stark Law Firm, and lastly Pellettieri, Rabstein & Altman Law before retiring in 2000. She also served as a notary for many years.

Felice was a member and baptized at Skillman A.M.E. Church and later attended Lawrenceville Presbyterian Church. She was a girl scout cadet for 12 years, and a member of Women's Affirmative Action Committee of theState of NJ (W.A.A.C.)

Felice was a woman of great class and elegance. She had a style about her that was like none other. Anytime you seen her she was dressed in perfection. Fashion was her thing! She also loved good music. Felice was a devoted daughter, mother, companion, and grandmother. Her family held a special place in her heart, especially her grandchildren. While battling her illness she never let it stop her nor did she ever complain. Whenever you would do something for her, she followed up with "Thank you for helping me". She was appreciative of those who took time to help her along her journey through life.

At the age of 64, Felice departed this life on May 27, 2023, in Lawrenceville, NJ. Her bright light has grown dim but the memories of her will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her greatly.

In addition to her father, Felice was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Charles and Puritan Hughes, and Margaret Almedia; and herpaternal grandparents, Clarence and Mable Vanleiu.
 

She leaves behind to cherish her memories her mother, Margaret "Peggy" Hughes Tunison of Skillman, NJ; her daughter, Katonya (Terrance)Beckwith of Fredrick, MD; her son, Terrance Gillis of Philadelphia, PA; her loving companion of 30+ years, John Harris of Lawrenceville, NJ; two stepchildren, Aisha Harris of Levittown, PA and Riley Harris of Philadelphia, PA; four grandchildren: Amaya, Simone and Chyenne Beckwith all of MD, 'and Rylie Harris of PA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins , and friends.

Funeral service will be 12pm Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at Second Calvary Baptist Church, 69 Columbia Ave, Hopewell, NJ 08525. Calling hours will be 10am until the time of service. Interment will be at Stoutsburg Cemetery, Hopewell, NJ. Arrangements are by Hughes Funeral Home.
