Frankie Lee Berry, Sr.

Frankie Lee Berry, Sr. was born on March 5, 1935 to the late Durrum and Rosie Lee Berry in Locust Grove, Georgia.  He departed this life on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Capital Health Fuld Campus.

Frankie Lee was educated in the Trenton Public School System. In June of 1953, he met Ora Lee Mclaurin. They later united in holy matrimony on March 5, 1955. From this, union two sons were born Eddie Berry and Frankie L. Berry, Jr.

He worked for over 25 years with the State of New Je1?ey Department of Transportation as Heavy Crane Operator until his disability retirement.

Frankie Lee was son, brother, father, uncle and cousin to many. He was an outspoken individual. He had a very close relationship with his parents and siblings. He was a true provider for his son, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and very protective over his siblings. His family in Trenton and Geogia loved him.

He was predeceased by his parents Durrum and, Rosie Lee Berry; wife Ora Lee, children Eddie and Frank L. Jr.; siblings Curtis (Nellie Ruth)  Berry, Annie  (Obadiah) Glover, Willie "Red" Berry, Hattie (Joseph) GIover, Jessie (Hannah), Dovie Mae DeLoach (June 9, 2026), and Bertha May White; a stepsister Zaddie Mae Taylor.

Frankie, leaves to cherish his memory his grandson Dayshawn Berry of Trenton, NJ; his granddaughter Shamair 'Berry of Lumberton, NJ; great-grandchildren Daquai Stafford of Boston, MA, Tamiya Tolbert of Bristol, PA, Dayshawn Berry, Jr. of Bristol, PA, Antwan Berry of Columbus, OH, Cynia Berry of Ewing, NJ, Niamani Nicholson and Dayona Berry of Trenton., NJ, Quincy M'kinze, Ziayre, and Phoenix McRae and Jennings Cason ,all of Lumberton, NJ; special n1eces and caretaker Diane Bellamy, Oaliria Berry,: and Rose Edwards,; two special nephews Bobby Deloach and Early Dixon III; four sisters-in-law Delores M. (Lorenzo) Swain, Barbara J. Strong, Nebon (Leroy) Roberson, Janice (Rufus) Roberson; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be 11am Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 10am until the time of the service. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.
