Gayvette L. Bruce Obituary

At the dawning of a new year on December 31, 1961, God granted a blessing to the union of Charles Sutphin and Mary-Alice Parham. A daughter given that possessed the spirit of God's grace to be amongst us until the dawning morning of June 1, 2023. She was affectionately known by many variants of her name Gayvette, but she was prominently and worldly renown as GIGI.

As a daughter, sister, niece, cousin, friend and eventual Mother, she was an extremely loving, generous, humorous, caring, outgiving, and protective person. Her talent of loving others was only matched by her gift of singing. In the early years of life, Gigi was reared in the home of her aunt "Kitty Parham" along with her aunt Marcia Johnson, under which she began the lifelong joy of being a Songstress.

She was an extraordinary entertainer, and the world was blessed to have her, however, there was one expertise that Gigi exercised better than singing and that was her ability to express her Love for her Family, Friends and most of all her two daughters Jessica and Seanna. Gigi's children were everything to her, as she readily announced endlessly. She was so proud of her grandchildren, nieces, nephew, and mentees. She loved her brothers with an extreme sensation and relished everything that was Family. With all that the world has received from and given unto Gigi, her life was well live, and her legacy was well earned. Gigi we will forever Honor and Love You beyond this life.

Gigi will be forever cherished and sadly missed by her legacy of survivors, her husband Willie Bruce; daughters Jessica James and Seanna Boone; sons Sherman Boone, Shaine M. Wilson, and Allen Harper; grandsons Shrron D. Brown, William J. Rice IV, Shaine B. Wilson, and Christian J.J. Wilson; granddaughter Nalah Boone; Great-Granddaughter Lyric Kornegay; aunt Frances McAllister; brothers Cedric Parham, Earl Sutphin, Jahkim Parham, Bishop Fulton Parham, Morgan Harper, Sean Smith, Keith Jones; sisters Marie "Nett" Jones, Tiffany Johnson, Dora Sutphin, Keisha Sutphin, Shirley-Ann Lee, Valerie Allgood, Paulette Parham, Tasha Parham, Colleen Washington-Harper, Tyesha Warren, Joanne Bliss, Marva Lawton, Tara Harper; Nieces & Nephews Ashley Parham, Shaquanna Morton, Rosetta Evans, Akilah Evans, Gaynetta Evans, Meriah Parham, Chimere Feliciano Naaman Parham, Robert Smith, Paul Parham, Ouantee Parham, Jahkim Muhammad, Reginald Roberts, Vic-Rossi Roberts, Akeem Harper, Nicoleon Evans, Keimi Harper, Amir Harper, With love to all related Families: Lee, Reeves, Webb, Glover, Jones, Sutphin, Evans Families.
