Obituary

When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure.

With much love spread and many memories shared, our beloved George accepted his angel's invitation into the kingdom on Thursday, August 31,2023 at home in Trenton, New Jersey. As a result, our hearts are less bright but we know the heavens are filled with extra doses of love, joy, peace and laughter.

George Sanderson Sr. was born May 7, 1928 in Columbia, Virginia to William and Lillian Sanderson.

He was educated in the Richmond, Virginia public school system. George was employed by Kramer Trenton Company and Hibbert Printing Company, where he retired in January 1990.

George was a well-known bartender, he worked at numerous lounges and bars throughout the city of Trenton. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved his family.

George served in the military; he was a member of the 122nd AAA Gun Battalion National Guard. He was a former member of Galilee Baptist Church and EI Bethel Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents William and Lillian Sanderson; four brothers Al, Thomas, William and John Henry; two sisters Mary and Ella; his wife Helen; his daughter Lillian.

George's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by his four sons George "Bubbie" Sanderson Jr., Ernest "Pudney" Sanderson, David "Poppy" Sanderson and Raymond "Muscles" Sanderson (Phyllis); his grandchildren Jamar Sanderson, Dr. Sean Sanderson, Shaquille Sanderson, Rayshaun and Rashawn Giddens, Olympia Sanderson and Porsha Sanderson; sixteen great grandchildren; a sister-in-law Gloria Sanderson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

We thought of you with love today but that is nothing new,

We thought about you yesterday and days before that too

We think of you in silence we often speak your name,

All we have are memories and your picture in a frame.

Your memory is our keepsake with which we'll never part.

God has you in His keeping we have you in our hearts.

Love You,

Bubble, Pudney, Poppy & Muscles
